In the 3rd Primary School of Vrontados the school ended the school year with two celebrations. One was the final athletics celebration, where the children had prepared some traditional Greek dances, which they showed to their parents and which took place some days before the last school day.
We helped with the preparations for this event, by editing the traditional Greek songs to which the children danced to and by helping with the rehearsals of the dances.
The summer dance celebration was very nice and the children’s performance was simply great. After so many weeks of training they could finally show their skills and you could see that they really enjoyed this celebration as well. The performance finished with one traditional Olympic piece, where they carried the Olympic flag from one child to another, in remembrance of the Olympic Games 2016 which will take place this year in August in Rio de Janeiro.
For the final school celebration the first class has prepared a theatre play. To be honest the small children performed so well, as if they were real actors. The screenplay was amazing and the coordination well done. Bravo to Kiria Elpida and Antonia and of course the children!
After the first class’s part, the 6th class performed some dances of all the subjects they will have in their new part of life in the High School. They were really creative and it was fun to see the different subjects animated.
After these two and very nice celebrations an amazing school year ended and we all are looking forward to see the children, the school and the teachers again next year.
