Today our sailing boat “Olympia” returned into the Aegean sea for the first time in 2014!
It was dropped into the water at the ship yard, from where we drove carefully around the coast cliffs to the Marina port at Chios City. it took us around two hours to drive there and tie “Olympia” safely at the Marina.
For us sailing rookies it was very exciting to be part of the crew. Although we did not set the sails and only used the motor for getting to the Marina, we learned many things like how to tie a knot, how to use the stirring, how to predict the wind and so on.
After this awesome appetizer we can’t wait to start our first real sailing experience!
