Over the summer a new building was built for the 2nd primary school of Vrontados. On the 20th of October was the official opening ceremony.
In this new building we have helped to transfer the new chairs, tables, black boards, etc., install the computers, decorate the new school yard with educational paintings and so on. Thus it we were happy to have the chance to participate in this ceremony.
It was a very religious matter. The priest of “Panagia Erithiani”, the church of the virgin Erithiani, after which the school is named, together with more priests was there to religiously open the school.
Important people from the Educational department of Chios Island, as well as the parents and children of the school gathered on this Saturday.
The new building offers many advantages. We had the chance to help to create a new Science Room and Library, as well as a computer room. The teachers have a new office and there is a new kitchen for the afternoon school.
