As December and with it the Christmas period is starting, the teachers asked to prepare some workshops creating Christmas Decoration.
For the “χριστουγεννιάτικο δέντρο” (Christmas tree) we thought about a 3D golden or silver star. Also we have already taught some classes how to cut garlands of stars, Christmas balls, Christmas trees and so on. With the first grades we will create a small ‘Άγιος Νικόλαος” (Saint Nicholas), which they can then fill with sweets at home.
For all of these workshops we prepared teaching notes in English and with the help of our Greek teacher translated them into Greek in order to be able to explain and communicate with the children better. We practice on each other to explain how to create a star for example using only Greek language and gestures of course.
