Creating Music Instruments

The pupils of the 4th class of the primary school were preparing music instruments, made of material of normal things that one uses at home.

We were helping them to decorate the bottles or boxes with colourful serviettes, which they filled with some rice so that they became percussion instruments. The boys had the task to create a special rattle by putting some bottle caps on a string which they clamped between the branches of a piece of wood with the shape of a “Y”.

When the euphonic instruments were ready to play with, the class recorded a video. This video was dedicated to the primary school’s partner school in Norway. As these schools are taking part in the “Comenius” project, where the pupils can make pen friends and the representatives of the schools visit each other in their countries.
