On the 25th of May we accompanied the second and third class of the primary school on their excursion to the nearby church Agia Marina. There they had the chance to play traditional games and to listen to the story of the origins of this church.
Furthermore as it was the birthday of the grandson of the people taking care of this place, everybody sang for him and the birthday cake was shared.
The children also had the opportunity to explore the inside of the little church. Especially one drawing of Christ rose a lot of attention as he supposedly closes and opens his eyes on it.
All in all it was a very nice trip! The children enjoyed learning more about the church and especially the traditional games and we had the opportunity to get to know the children better and also to broaden our knowledge about the Greek culture.
