Teaching Basic Computer Knowledge

As the children of the 2nd class were learning about stamps, faxes and e-mails, we were asked to make a short presentation on how the e-mail system actually works.

While we presented the system on the basis of gmail on the computer, the director of the school explained everything in Greek.

We showed them how you log on to your e-mail account, how you compose and send a message, even insert a picture and also how you can check if you have received any e-mails.

Afterwards they had the chance to type their name on the computer. For most children this was the first time writing on he computer.

We started a project at the primary school with the 2nd class, where we teach them basic knowledge about the computer.

To begin with, we showed them how to turn on and off the computer, where all the programs are located and also started showing them how to use “Word”, e.g.. how to write their name using the Greek and the English keyboard and then also hange the color, size and the style of the text.
