2nd Primary School of Vrontados – Excursion to Lithi

To celebrate the end of the school year and to enjoy all together a sunny day on the beach, last Friday we went with all the school on a trip to Lithi. Everyone was there: children, teachers and also parents, brothers and sisters who came along to accompany us and to share all together a nice time.

Before arriving to Lithi we stopped on the way in Armolia, famous for its ceramics. There we went for a walk through this very welcoming typical Greek white and blue village and we went to visit the church of Agios Dimitris.

Later on we headed to the beach where the children played a lot in the sand, making castles and playing beach volley, cooling down their feet in the water and do gymnastics, having us always as companions. Also some parents got into the child-fever and we played with them and a group of children a fun version of a volleyball match. Then around one the atmosphere got calmer, it was the time for lunch and everyone vanished in groups in the nearby restaurants. After a nice long food break the beach got lively again and the children started to run around again, this time with ice cream in their hands.

We played until four, then some children went back with the teachers and some stayed at the beach with their parents enjoying a nice swim. Overall it has been a beautiful summer day, with a lot of sun and a lot of fun at a wonderful beach.
