The 18th of november the classes of the primary school of Kataraktis went in an excursione to the library of Chios city. The weather was perfect, making this trip really enjoyable, and the children were really happy to do a new experience with their friends. We volunteers join the journey as assistents and supporters. We arrived in Chios city by bus and we went directly to the library.
In there the workers were waiting for us, to help the children the discovery of a place that usually is considered boring. But off course not this time. The workers were really prepared to work with the children, so they began to do exercise that helped the pupils to feel themselved comfortables. After this started a really nice and educative lesson, always pleasant, that permit to the children to know a lot about the paintings and the stories behind them.
At times particurarly funny, the children danced, painted and played several educative games inside the library. So they learned in a different way thanks to these really well prepared and modern educators.
After this the pupils were really happy, they thanked the workers of the library, and we went to the bus.
But the day wasn’t finished. Infact the teachers thought to bring the children to a nice park close to Chios, and this was the best way to finish this perfect day. They ate a fast meal and played several games in this well equipped park, in freedom until they were tired.
Finishing this article we have to add that everyone enjoyed really a lot this educative and funny excursion.
