The second class of the 3rd primary school of Vrontados visited a bakery in Chios City where they discovered all the secrets that the bread has and they had the opportunity to make their own bread as professionals. They got to know how a bakery is inside, which ingredients the bakery use and where they come from and which machines and for what they are for.
The students, with the help of the bakery’s staff, made their own bread! Almost as professionals bakers! First they add the yeast, the oil and the salt and later the flour and the water! They mixed everything in the professional mixer of the bakery until it was proper dough and we were ready to knead it.
Our students enjoyed very much made their breads with the shapes they wanted, learning how to weigh it, kneading them in different ways, and finally they were ready to put in the oven!
With the help of the professionals we warmed up our breads and we put them in the oven! Now it is just time to wait for eating our delicious breads!
