On 13th of April, in the 2nd Primary school of Vrontados we started creating crafting for Easter.
This day in the 4th class we crafted Easter bunnies.
We started with the idea of recycling so for the body of the rabbit we used the roll tube of the toilette paper.
We drew the face and the legs of the bunny with a pencil then the children started painting the bunny: pink for the girls and white for the boys.
Then with a marker children traced over the line to highlight the face and in the end we cut from thick and color paper the ears and we stapled them over the top.
And Easter bunny is done!
For the 3rd class, we did almost the same, only this time we painted the toilet rolls in advance, so the children could draw the bunny face themselves. This is a great way to recycle toilet rolls and at the same time get cute Easter decorations.
With the 1st class, the children got a drawing of a bunny, and they had to color it, when they finished coloring, we glued the bunny to a hard paper and they had to cut out the shape of the bunny. In the end we decorated the bunny with glitter and stuck a popsicle stick to it.
All the classes of the school got to make Lazarus cookies, they got the dough and made the cookie in which shape they wanted.
We made Lazarus dolls with the 1st and 2nd class. In advance we cut out tiny flowers (4 for each child) the children brought a wooden spoon, a white sheet and a lace each from their home. the spoon head was the head of the doll and we put the sheet over and tied the lace around the spoon. In the end we glued the flowers to the head of the doll and painted on the face.
4th class made Easter baskets with large flowers. they got one A4 hard paper each in different colors, they cut the shape and stapled it together, they cut out the flower shape from hard paper and stuck it on the basket. For the first class, we prepared the easter baskets for them; Green and blue for the boys and yellow and orange for the girls, they got flowers in different colors. The last day of school, they received the baskets with the lazarus cookies, candy and the eggs they painted.
2nd and 3rd class, made easter baskets in the shape of a bunny. They got the basket shape on a paper and they had to cut out the shape, after that we stapled it together and put a handle on top. They too received the baskets on the last day.
The last day of crafting 1st and 2nd class painted Easter eggs, all the children got 2 eggs each and paint, they pained in which pattern they wanted.
The children also got a Easter candle, 2nd and 4th class decorated their own candles with colored rice, ribbons and Easter effects. For the 1st class, we decorated the candles for them and in the end of the day they got one each.
