In order to teach the children more about the different shapes, triangels, squares, how to fold etc., we prepared some origami papercraft workshops. We learnt together how to fold different figures and then in the crafts lesson, we taught the children using Greek as much as possible.
The great thing about it is that you only need plain paper and enthusiasm and in the end the children go home with a jumping “βάτραχος” (frog), an “αεροπόρο” (airplane) or a “πάντα” (panda bear) and so on.
And we do not only learn and practise Greek and folding techniques, but also how to teach and motivate children.
