On the 4th of July 2018, Vrontados celebrated its 100th anniversary on the square in front of the unknown sailor statue.
After most visitors had taken a place, the first speaker was already announced by the headmaster of the 2nd primary school. We heard speeches by different headmasters of Vrontados’ schools and other officials. In the end the mayor even gave a price to one of the students from Vrontados.
Then the real celebration started. The children of the primary schools were presenting different games they had prepared, two of the students even provided live music on the kanoon and the bouzouki. Everybody had a great time and enjoyed themselves over the games, music, free ice cream and other foods and drinks.
