On 16th February we had a carnival celebration in school. Therefore, of course, we had a lot to do. We prepared the decoration inside the building that were garlands out of the kites the children made in the art lessons. We also helped preparing the technical equipment for the party as for example the speekers for the music or stayed in the classes for short carnival celebrations where we passed out food and juice to the children. Of course we also could enjoy some of the nice food.
At 11 o’clock the celebration for the whole school started: the children came out of the class rooms into the school yard. We danced together with them to common known songs like Maquarena and played games.
For sure the children were allowed to costume for this day and we could see many beautiful disguises. There were princesses and pirates, but also lions and ladybirds.
After the celebration we helped with tidying everything.
All in all it was a very nice day and we had lots of fun.
