The 11th of November, an important day in the history of Chios Island, because it was the day that the island stopped to be part of the Ottoman Empire and returned to be a part of Greece.
In the second school of Vrontados the third class celebrates this day with a nice enthusiasm, they were reading the history of this time and everyone was really interested in it, even the small children from the first class were understanding the importance of this date, the third class explained very well all the events of this time with poems and singing songs of the moment.
For as it was nice to assist at this celebration and see how all the parents and the community was participating, like a big family especially when the moment comes to sing together their anthem.
