Coloring Red Easter Eggs

The students of the Second School of Vrontados have dyed Easter eggs this week.

This week is the preparation of the Easter and the students enjoy a lot this tradition and at the same time the learn more about Greek customs and its origins. Coloring these boiled eggs with red paint is a Greek custom and it in memory of the blood of Christ and remaining as a symbol of the Resurrection.

The children and teachers who helped them have used a mix based on warm water, red powder and vinegar, then they put the eggs inside and they wait a few minutes and the last step is just to wait until the eggs are dry (we have to put them on paper towels).

Now we have our eggs ready!
