On a rainy morning we went to school to do a workshop with pupils in the third class. We wanted to fold snowmen (χιονάνθρωπος) with white paper and colorful pencils.
Before we had to prepare the paper at school and fold it again to exercise it the last time. We also had to cut the paper into many squares and other pieces for the hat.
After the preparation we went to the class and took the people in two groups. We had to move the tables and distributed the different paper pieces to the children. The volunteers showed them how to fold the snowman step by step. Some children used more help, other childs didn’t need it. After folding, the pupils had time to paint their snowman with different colors.
Following the volunteers showed how to fold the hat for the snowmen. It was quite a bit easier for the students and after this they decorated it also with different pencils.
It was a nice project and we learnt some new Greek words.
