On the 16th of May a science teacher visited the 3rd Primary School of Vrontados. He brought a lot of equipment, reaching from simple lamps and cables to generators and even some chemicals. He then set up his equipment in 5th grade, and gave his lesson for 3 hours.
The first part was about physics, where he let the 5th graders experiment with simple circuits, and showed them the effect of switches, and how electricity distributes itself if there are multiple lamps and even the conductivity of air, creating little lightnings.
The second part was chemistry, and the lesson went on with the teacher bringing coloured water to a boil, followed by a more theoretical, but nonetheless interesting lesson about among other things the states of matter.
Our volunteer was tasked with documenting the event and assisting the students whenever possible.
