In every year there is a swimming competition among the children and the trainers of the swimming department of the sports and cultural club P.E.K.E.V. in the local swimming pool “Ormos Lo”.

It is not like a serious swimming race, but more like a demonstration to an audience of families and friends, to present all the children that take part at the daily practices during the summer vacations.

After having trained during the whole summer, the children have the opportunity to show their improve swimming skills to their friends and family. Especially the swimming beginners – which we as assistants accompanied at their daily practices – aged between 4 and 8 years, are very proud to prove to the audience which big progress they had made.

On this day, it is not about who is the fastest swimmer, it is just about having fun. So in the end, every one was a winner and received a medal.
