The 14th of June was the last school day, and so a big part of our project ended for this year. It was an honor for us volunteers to be a part of the school the whole year, learn about the way Greek primary schools and kindergartens work, become a member of the team and of course work with the children. We had an amazing time and are very sad it ended now, but are already looking forward to visit in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first primary school\n of Vrontados had a big\ncelebration on the evening of the 13th<\/sup> of June, where the children\nof 6th<\/sup> grade presented a play they studied the weeks before.\nAfterwards, the teachers said goodbye to them and they also got little\npresents. The atmosphere was really nice, as the play took place outside at the\nschools theatre. The goodbye was also very emotional, and the evening ended\nwith a little party, where the kids enjoyed pizza and drinks the school\nprovided and had the chance to dance one last time with all the teachers\ntogether.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first kindergarten of Vrontados had a final theatre from the\nchildren at the evening of 12th<\/sup> of June. The play was about all the\nGreek islands and their traditional dances. Our volunteer helped to prepare the\nbackground of the play. On the 13th<\/sup> of June, all the children with\ntheir parents and teachers had a picnic at Daskalopetra where the children\ncould play and got food.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second primary school\n of Vrontados had their\nfinal celebration in the morning of the 13th<\/sup> of June. The first\ngraders presented a play about fruits and vegetables, where an onion and lemon\nmarried in the end, for which our volunteers prepared decoration and costumes\nin advance. Later on, also the 6th<\/sup> graders read out stories about\ntheir whole primary school time, as it was their ending celebration. They also\nsang traditional songs and danced. In the end of the celebration, everybody got\nice cream.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the third primary\n school of Vrontados,\nthe first graders presented a play on the 14th<\/sup> of June. Afterwards,\nthe 6th<\/sup> graders presented a performance including matching shirts\nand balloons, in order to celebrate their goodbye.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The third kindergarten of Vrontados already presented their play on Sunday, 9th<\/sup> of June. Our volunteers prepared the background and parts of the costumes and helped during the rehearsals. After the play, which was held at Pekev, the celebration ended with the oldest children getting an honor and a little party. On Friday, 14th<\/sup> of June, all the children came one last time to school in order to\u00a0 pick up their final reports and say goodbye in every school. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
