{"id":4841,"date":"2019-05-08T14:24:02","date_gmt":"2019-05-08T14:24:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4youth.gr\/?p=4841"},"modified":"2019-06-18T09:21:25","modified_gmt":"2019-06-18T09:21:25","slug":"easter-celebrations-2019","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/4youth.gr\/index.php\/2019\/05\/08\/easter-celebrations-2019\/","title":{"rendered":"Easter Celebrations 2019"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Easter is one of the most important festivities for Christians all\naround the world and as Greeks like to celebrate, you\u2019re probably not surprised\nif I tell you that also the schools had big celebrations on the last day before\nthe two-week Easter break.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first kindergarten and primary\n  school of Vrontados\nstarted the last school day with participating at a service in the nearby\nchurch. Afterwards, each class had two lessons freely available. The teachers\nalready planned a week ahead and thought of nice handicrafts, which our\nvolunteer helped to prepare. On the very day, she created together with the\nfirst graders Easter buckets and filled them with sweets, which the children\nwere very happy about.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our volunteer in the first kindergarten of Vrontados helped preparing\nEaster themed handicrafts in April. He prepared a whole bag full of Easter\ndecoration for every child, like greeting cards, an Easter basket and an Easter\ncandle made out of paper. They also dyed eggs and baked Easter cookies together\nwith the children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The second primary school\n of Vrontados also\nattended a service and afterwards the children were free to play whatever they\nliked. After that break, they could finish decorating their Easter candles with\nthe help of our volunteers, which they already started in the days before and\neat the Easter cookies they baked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The third primary school and kindergarten of Vrontados went to church as\nwell. Afterwards, the kindergarten children got their bag with Easter\nhandicrafts, which they made in the weeks before together with our volunteer.\nThey also painted eggs and baked Easter cookies.
