The same day that the workshop on board of “Mania” the boat of “Maria Tsakos” Foundation started, it was also the beginning of the workshop of the traditional construction of a wooden boat.<\/p>\n

There, a group of about 15 children could gain the experience about how to construct a boat of wood in the traditional way with the use of traditional tools.<\/p>\n

Each one of the children could take active part in the constructions e.g. by measuring, sawing or nailing pieces of wood.<\/p>\n

This workshop was held by the couple Dimitrios Morakis and his wife Elli Papaioannou, who passed their knowledge of the traditional construction of a boat on to the young generation.<\/p>\n
