In the evening of the 03.03.18 there took place a first aid lesson taking place in the library of the second primary school of Vrontados.
\nIt was very interesting and definitely helpful for the future life.
\nWe volunteers prepared the tecnical equipment beforehand, so that everything was set for the presentation.
\nThe first aid experts explained in detail, which are the most important steps, when there is somebody lying on the ground, requiring our help.
\nFirst: Make sure that the person is out of the dangerous area.
\nSecond: Ask the person with strong enough voice, if he\/she can react.
\nIn case that there is another person nearby pass a phone to call an emergency doctor.
\nIn this context the presenters underlined the importance of remembering the international number “112”.
\nThird: Carefully put back the head of the person and open the mouth in order to prevent a blockade of the throat through the tongue.
\nFourth: Listen, watch and feel if the person is still breathing.
\nIf not, start with the attempt of resurrection.
\nAfter describing the usual resurrection measures they explained also what the Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is.
\nIt is a device, which is able to detect the heartbeat of a person needing a shock.
\nAll you have to do is to follow the acoustical instructions of the AED.
\nAnother important topic was, how you can help someone who swallowed something.
\nThe first action is to beat on the back of the affected person.
\nWhen this does not help “hug” the affected person and try to pull the person to you at their stomach.
\nAn important element of the presentation was the interaction with the audition.
\nThey not only explained but also gave practical lesson, making use of a Dummy.
\nMoreover there was enough time left to answer questions.<\/p>\n
