On this occasion the teachers and children prepare a special celebration, the Archbishop blesses children, teachers, and the school and cuts &#8220;Vasilopita&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This is a traditional cake with a coin hidden in the cake on the occasion of the celebration of the new year, connected with the legend of Agios Vasilis &#8211; the saint that was famous because of his kindness and charity.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Throughout this experience our volunteers had the opportunity to get to know the Greek culture and its traditions better and to assimilate more with the local community.
