As the beach season has started again, the school decided to go to the local beaches and collect the garbage there.\u00a0Each class was assigned a different beach and afterwards the whole school met at the beach “Daskalopetra”, where also an other primary school was.<\/p>\n

The children really enjoyed this day outside, playing games, searching for shells, having some souflaki or ice cream and at the same time even continued to look for more garbage, which they put into the trash right away.<\/p>\n

So all in all it was not only a nice excursion for the children, but also an educational lesson showing them the importance of preserving their environment and also beneficial for the local community thus for us volunteers nice to have been able to be part of it.<\/p>\n
