Making a Kite

Because the Greek carnival is not so far away, on 14th of February the 6th class made a colorful kite.
Therefore, the kids nailed several wooden sticks together to create a frame. They connected all sticks at one point in the middle so the frame looked like a star. Then they pinned a rope in a circle around it.

After, the students prepared the thin paper: They cut blue, yellow and green stripes out of it and glued them together to create one big, colorful paper.
As final step the paper got glued onto the frame and the rope. Finished!
To get the kids in the right mood for carnival, they listened and sang different Greek and English songs during the work on their kite. They had much fun creating the kite together and are very proud of their beautiful work.
